Depart from San José and travel through the central volcanic mountains toward Limón Province, Costa Rica’s Afro-Caribbean region, where climate, temperature, and scenery change dramatically. Near Guápiles, pass vast banana plantations before reaching the embarkation point.

The tour begins at your hotel in La Fortuna and continues to the private reserve of the La Fortuna Waterfall, just a few minutes from town. Start at the viewpoint before descending a 500 m trail with over 480 steps through lush rainforest.
